A leading manufacturer of heavy-duty buses in the U.S. and Canada established operations in Jamestown, NY, creating 35-40 new jobs at the Fluvanna Avenue location owned by Shults Real Estate, LLC. Developer Shults invested $2 million to complete renovations. They were assisted by the CCIDA Board’s approval of a $500,000 AL Tech Loan and a Tax Lease Incentive to promote the new company in Chautauqua County. New Flyer of America Inc. is the first recipient of the Start-Up-NY program in Chautauqua County. The company invested in equipment and installation. They manufacture 30 electrical and mechanical components, axles, dividers, and assemble two distinct engines.
