Meeting was called to order at 9:33 a.m.
I will call the meeting to order. The first thing is the Revenue Recognition Policy. During our audit last year the accountants wanted to know how and when we were going to recognize some revenue streams, particularly from the three wind farms and Athenex. We made a decision that we would recognize revenue when the projects were substantially under construction and they had already received the benefits so at that point there is no going back. They wanted that in writing so I printed off a bunch of grants and printed off the accounting standards. We have another Governance Committee meeting in November and hopefully I will have a draft of it by then. Rosie please add to November agenda that we will review Recognition Policy.

No, December is fine. Now we will review the sexual harassment policy. It is mandated that everyone have this policy. A lot of people have adopted this policy so we just went in and filled in the blanks. With this we would also be required to do some training and we would like to get that done before the end of the year. We will be reaching out to Amanda Lowe from Phillips Lytle.
She gave me an update on the state of the law and basically let people know that they need to get this in place and distribute it to all their employees and do the training.
May want to consider what the County did. Basically online thing where you answered two or three questions at the end of each section to make sure you were paying attention and it took about 20 minutes. Way to do it for people who are remote.
Do they use the proposed power point that the state provided?
Amanda said she reviewed it and said that it was far over inclusive and really onerous, but if it was done in 20 minutes it’s probably not.
Can you locate the link the County provided and send it to me?
Reviewed the Sexual Harassment forms and advised they would be in the I Drive.
You want to physically provide this to each employee at their onboarding or if they are existing. Start from day 1 defining sexual harassment.
With the County you have to sign that you got it.
We will schedule training after we research the best way to get everyone trained.
